Cheers Spark Spirit l . CHEERS: Clockwise-Mary McNally, Lori Schultz, Tina Patton, Linda Balcerzak fCaptainJ, Susie Dong tCo Captuinj, Kathy Jackson. Kathy Velasquez. Go North! Fight! B-e-a-t, beat the Coyotes! With these shouts of encouragement, the cheers sparked our teams to victory while perform- ing a traditional service to the school. The seven member line worked to develop new cheers and chants and perfect old ones. Dedication, pride, and unwaver- ing spirit are necessary requirements for being on the lineg squeezing ev- ery bit ol' enthusiasm out of fellow Mustangs is not an easy task. But with a ready smile, a jump, and a yell, the North High cheers strive to accomplish it. l. Make way for the oncoming cheers! 2. Cheers keep in shape. ..----'2'-w- '- x-.M-0 -'---- ' N 3 ... Bowling Club increases in membership every year. Its main purpose, explains club President Mike Cummiskey, is to bowl and have fun. Having fun in- cludes playing teachers, other schools, and other North High clubs. What the Bowling Club lacks in history, the Tennis Club makes up for in its membership in the United States Lawn Tennis Association for 23 years. Among the social events the club spon- sors for members and guests are: a winter potluck in the corral where the Freshman Team awards are presented, a Spring swimming and supper party in May, and a Freshman intra squad ten- nis tournament. 30 Bowling Club LSponsorj. l-Mariane Eberson thoughtfully rolls her ball towards the pins. 2-Kathy Wiitala sends her ball enroute to a strike.
