Assisting Stud nl The efficiency of both the principal's office and the library depend on the student assistants that work there for non-solid credit. The girls in the principal's office are kept busy sorting mail, answering the switchboard, delivering call slips, and keeping the school scrap book up-to- date. The duties of the library assist- ants are to check books in and out, putting the books in order on the shelves, repairing books, and checking magazines. At left, the dinner in the North High cafeteria is just a small part of the activity that takes place during a P.T.A. Open House. Each year the North High's Parent-Teacher Association pre- sents an Open House in order for the parents to visit the campus, tour the buildings, and meet the teachers. The aim behind the Open House is to strengthen the bond between the school and community. l23l
