Music, art, drama, and crafts classes are offered at North for students hoping to become musicians, actors, artists, or skilled craftsmen in leather and silver. The Allied Arts Department is made up of competent teachers who have been well trained and can train students adequately. ARTISTS: Miss Mary E. Wil- liams, Miss Frances Kapanke, and Mr. Allen A. Dutton teach students the different works of arf.

The math teachers trying to teach the students that one and one really does equal two, that x equals y, and that the side of a triangle opposite a right angle is known as the hypotenuse. The Business Department covers a wide range of subjects, which prepare students for the business world. Such subjects as shorthand, typing, and bookkeeping are taught. The teachers have done a fine job to make them excellent courses. BUSINESS EDUCATION - FRONT ROW: Miss Ruth White, Miss Chloe Fields, Miss Isabel Daou, Miss Beulah Twist. SEC- OND ROW: Mr. Frank Turley, Mr. Harley King, and Mr. C. O. Stephens.
