Harrison and Miss Ardys Coburn. Mrs. Lucille Townsend has proven to be a competent helper to Miss Vera Mc- Cormick. Helping freshmen through the first complicated year of high school, lend- ing a hand to solve the problems, big and small, of all students, and advising students how to prepare for the future is done by their capable counselors. The students appreciate the guidance of their counselors through the four years. By the use of democratic techniques, the efficiency and morale of the school organiaztion are kept at a high level. Keeping the different students' reg- istrations and schedules in order, filling out return slips, and filing notes for the many students that are absent each day was just a small part of the hard but efficiently done task of the secre- taries in the registrar's office during the year I954-55, as they have in past years.
