DR. A. KURTZ KING, 511perzi.i'i11g P1711 cipczl To see the students from North Penn's various component schools amalgamate into a loyal, happy and unified student body under the North Penn High School banner, has been very gratifying. This happened in a remarkably short time following the opening of the new school. in spite of obstacles. For every students contribution toward such building of school spirit I extend heartfelt thanks and congratulations. Members of the Class of 1956 have earned special praise for their leadership in student affairs during North Penn High Schools first year. To transfer longest roots in their former school to top re- sponsibility in the new school was a real challenge which was well met. On the other hand, this first graduating class is having the opportunity and dis- tinction of enjoying the first benefits of the new school and its grand school plant. Many who graduated in earlier years. and many who are attending other schools envy the Class of 1956 and those who will be graduated here in subsequent years. Thus, this big challenge is also an unusual op- portunity which should be cherished for years to come. The value of a diploma depends upon the esteem of the issuing institution. Students and alumni of the North Penn High School need to do all they can to boost their school if they would have maximum benefits from its seal of graduation. liarly graduating classes have a special responsibility because there are no older alumni from a new school. Beyond the selfish reason of boosting ones school so that its credentials will be more valuable. is the social obligation of gratitude. Many have been generous in their thinking. giving, and sacrifice so that each pupil to attend North Penn may have a most attractive and a fully equipped building and a truly comprehensive. effective. modern secondary school pro- gram. Students who can benefit from that superior offering should be very appreciative and eternally grateful. That means YOU. every North Penn student. XY'hile you cannot repay those who gave you that opportunity, you can reflect apprecia- tion and can. in turn. afford the best educational opportunity to your children and others of subsequent generations. Your teachers deserve your praise for their share in bringing the advantages of your schools into your grasp. During this first year in the new plant they did much to guide the adap- tation and to facilitate learning. The initial year in North Penn High School has been a grand experience for all. in spite of the patience and understanding which circumstances required. For all that everyone did to help the general cause I hereby express a sincere THANK YOU Qlnmmvnhatinn sinh iischurtatinrt in Eurrg Nurth 1321111 linight
