Sophomores 1ST ROW: L to R: Merle McLaren, presidentg Lee Lewis, sergeant at armsg Merlin Kllewer, vice-president. 2ND ROW:Charlotte Anderson,student council representativeg Larry Cole, treasurerg Frankie McLaren, secretary. ident led the sophomore class Merle McLaren as pres through the school year of 1951-52. Frankie McLaren was secretary, Merlin Kliewer, vice-presidentg Larry Cole, treasurerg Charlotte Anderson, student council representatlveg and Lee Lewis, sergeant at arms. Bill McNary won the interclass track meet in November for the Sophomores. In December a swimming party was planned and given at the Salem Y.M.C.A. With 7 class members, all the Sophomores had a 1+ fine year.

The freshman class started the year with fifty members. Their first activity was in September when the seniors gave them a welcome dance after initiation Most of the class worked on student body com ittees and joined in on clubs and activities wholeheartedly. Jim Albers led the freshman through their first year as president. The rest of the officers were Keith Driver, vice- presidentg Donna Yergen, secretaryg Dean Spence, treasurer, and Dolores Hillner, student council representative.
