We as teachers, students, and employees of North Marion can look back on the year as one of hard work yet one of much pleasure in working together to make this a successful school year. It has been fun to be the first in our new building and to be able to look ahead to the future and visualize how our school might grow in size and beauty. - With the shrubs just planted and the lawn just being put in, it will be interesting to compare the above picture with what our schoolmd grounds willlook like ten years from now, Support Our Sponsors

Club Activities FUTURE FARIERS OF AIERICA The North larion Chapter of the F. F. A. installed their first officers and initiated the Greenhands in October 1950. The installation was joint with the F. H. A. In November, the boys entered the Colu bia River District Parliamentary Contest.In Dec- ember the F. F. A. boys collected scrap metal. The N. H. chapter sponsored a welding demonstration for the community and the Aurora L1on's Club promoted a public speaking contest for the chapter in January. During the year several radio broadcasts of interviews with N. H. FFA boys were presented. One of the big- gest school events of the year, a donkey basketball game, was sponsored by the F. F. A. to make money for the Parent-Son Ban- quet held in larch. I . Elvan Pitney is-advisor. GIRLS' ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION The first big activity of the Girls' Athletic Association, this year, was the sponsoring of a talent show. Besides this, members of the G. A. A.have attended numerous play-days at Suri- dan, Ioodburn,and Oregon State College, and have played host to play-days at Woodburn and North Marion. Initiation took placein April. Mrs. Fava LaRowe is advisor. M H THE FUTURE H0 EMAKERS OF AM RICA The North Marion Chapter of F. H. A. opened the year with election of officers and a trip to the district meeting in Oregon City. Installation and initiation were held in Novembervwith the F. F. A. The November activities consisted of a trip to Salem, during National F. H. A. Week, a pot luck dinner with the Canby Chapter, a speaker from the county extension service, and a teacher's tea. During December they held a Christmas party and ratified their constitution. In larch two delegates and the ad- visor attended the state convention at OSC. The project for March was to make dimity aprons, which the girls wore when they served at the F. F. A. banquet. In April they had 'Daddy Date Nite' honoring their fathers. Hay was the month of a barn dance with the F. F. A. and the Mothers' Tea which brought to a close the year's activities. The F. H. A. advisor is Miss Audrey Ingraham.
