The lhree capilols represenl lhree dillerenl and very dislincl eras in lhe hislory ol lhe nalion as well as lhe slale -lhe selllemenl ol our nalion, lhe period ol civil slrile during which brolher waged war againsl brolher, and lhe world in which we live. ln lhe beginning lhe Terrilorial Capilol was buill which, now reslored, recalls lhe spiriled days ol Arkansas' pre-slalehood era when courageous pioneers were slruggling lo open lhe new Soulh.
