Administration MR. C. L. TURNER Principal B. S., State Teachers College, Conway, M. S., Texas Christian University, Fort Worth. Principal C. L. Turner first came to Senior High as an assistant coach. After graduating from Arkansas State Teachers College, he was principal and coach at Eudora High School. While in College, he was an All-State football end two years, and All-State basketball guard four years. After serving as Lieutenant, senior grade, with the United States Navy in World War II, Mr. Turner became principal of Fourth Street Iunior High School. ln August 1948, he assumed his duties as Senior High Principal. Recognized both locally and nationally as outstanding educators, Super- intendent Blackburn and Assistant Superintendent Wright deserve the recog- nition of the student body and the community for their service to the North Little Rock Public Schools. Dr. Blackburn, before accepting the superintendency, had been head of the Department of Teacher Training and Certification in the Arkansas State Department of Education. He had forrnerlylbeen Superintendent of Schools at Paragould and coach of the Wildcats. During World War ll he served as an officer in the United States Navy. Mr. Wright wlvas 'Principal of Senior High from 1944 to 1948, had formerly been Superintendent of Schools at Foreman, and had been 'an instructor at Texarkana and Bauxite. MH. P. B.
