'gsm New royalty was crowned during the band's inter- mission when Karen Donleycott and John Rebar relin- quished their titles of Queen and King of the Junior Prom to Sheri Johnson and Eddie Lewis. Karen crowned Sheri with the traditional rhinestone tiara 143, and John presented her with red roses. The rest of the court, Debbie Forbes, Bill Stuart, Connie Moshner, and Gary Johnson watched attentively as did Cyndi Duncan, ffar lefty, general chairman of the prom, King Eddie Lewis and Queen Sheri Johnson C51 then reigned during the remainder of the evening, As the ball drew to a close, Pam Shalda and Mike Gallanger Q65 took one last glance before leaving the romantic atmosphere, Mr, Arne Jacobsen, a chap- eron, observed the couple from a distance. Q' Juniors Romanticize a Snowy is Sometimes in winter I love you, When the good times seem like memories, In the spring that never came. Frosted branches and boughs of flocked fir and pine accented the theme Sometimes in Winter selected by the Junior Prom Committee for their ball on November 22, For weeks in advance, hungry students and faculty mem- bers were nourished during the ten-minute break by an assortment of' doughnuts sold by the juniors to cover possi- ble prom expenses. Karen Jordan, Sandy Craze, Dennis Hoem, and Kristy Hoover were some who appeared in the MP room early Saturday morning to work all day fly setting the mood of a wintry evening, Hours later, when Jerry Yeager and Molly Epperson arrived QZJ, they were greeted with the fresh scent of evergreens, and a junior high hostess. An allusion of trees and moimtains enclosed the couples Q31 as they enjoyed conversation and refreshments. Snow- flakes dotbed the floor, and green candles with snowy angel hair enhanced the atmosphere of a December evening, f 4

1 ,, li I Holiday decorations spread cheer everywhere at North during the weeks preceding Christmas. Decorated homeroom doors fl, 2, 41 brightened the halls in a contest sponsored by the Foreign Exchange Club, Mr. Mikkelborgfs Room 3 door won first prize, even though it was not finished in time for a picture, Over 100 students participated in the Christmas Concert, December 17. The drama department joined orchestra and choir members Q35 in a rendition of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. Highlights of the concert were the 35- minute presentation of Antonio Viva1di's Gloria and Handel's Hallelujah Chorus performed by the orchestra and choir. In a sophisticated drawing-room atmosphere, Torch Honor hosted the first Christmas semi-formal to be held at North Kitsap. The Reflections, an Olympic College combo, played for the dance held in the library December 13. Decora- tions consisted of a big Christmas tree Q51 and a roving Santa Claus, Sean Atteridge. In 16p Santa is sneaking a little Christmas cheer from Patty Jo Vring, Mark Nesby, Colleen Dick and Dale Finseth. Membership for Torch Honor requires 40 points per year. At the Scholastic Banquet held in May, Torch Honor pins were awarded to eligible students in all three grade levels.
