After ten years of making their way in the world each individual member ofthe class of i950 found himself a failure On the memorable day of February 30 i960 they held a reunion and taking inventory of their best talent they formed what is known as The Society for the Furtherance of Entertainment and Dispersement of Laughter to Those Unfortunate Per sons Who Did Not Have the Privilege of Graduating from North Kitsap in i950 The fame and fortune of this group has greatly spread in the last ten months as they have performed both here in the United States and abroad They are now making a special appearance at the great metropolis of Paulsbo from where they originated The Mayor of Poulsbo l-larold Lanning and his councilmen Marvin Hague Lars Ejde and David Olson are waiting on Pier l07 on Dogfish Bay forthe arrival ofthe S S Verona the specilaly built super cargo plane piloted by Ethelann Randal and built to carry the entire gigantic circus Also waiting to interview the celebrities are Layette Mount prosperous editor of the na The helicopter lands and the first persons to step off are the managers of the great Society for the Furtheronce of Entertainment and Dispersement of Laughter to Those Unfortunate Persons Who Did Not Have the Privileg of Graduating From North Kitsap in l950 Kenneth La Cross and Lester Niemi lt is their financial genius and millions of dollars of backing which have made the circus the success it is today Next we see Mrs Della Martinson who has just recently returned from a trip to the North Pole to gather the most ferocious lions tigers and elephants to captivity Also we see Pat Merlich and Pat Lewis who have gained great fame in the advertising world by their unique circus advertising on barns The next group to come off the destroyer is the famous circus band under the direction of Joan Walker On the bass drum is Carolyn Holt on the French horn is Phyllis Brackman Marcia Lund is on the violin Myrtle Anderson is under the tuba and Pat Steel plays the harp Next off the sub steps Larry Andresan MD the circuss great physician and his understudy Ray Iverson VET, Following them is the reliable staff of circus nurses' Delores Larsen Bev. Vondersmith Burnelle Fjeran and Mary Ann Bloom. Then comes the circus electric plant whose chief electrician is Dick Barndt capably assisted by Don Baskins. Connected with the electric plant is the circus switchboard controlled and operated by Anne Hurd and Esther Rude. Next from the flying saucer steps Keith Webster and his gigantic her of trained elephants. The mahouts or drivers for these beasts are Bonnie Smith Bonnie Stevenson and Phyllis Hoffman who all had their training in India. TIME PASSES The day of the circus has dawned. Flags are flying and the band is playing.
