Higher level computer courses continue the study with emphasis in the advanced features such as matrix manipulations, file creations, formatting techniques, and system functions. EUROPEAN SCHOLARS David and Goliath Pay attention, Jen! I love this class Ha — choo This year, the Advanced Placement European History class taught by Ms. Daniels, enrolled twenty scholarly students. The study program involved a history of European thought, literature, arts, and politics and covered the time periods from the Renaissance to present day. The students were evaluated through tests which follow the same format as the AP Exam given in May. The AP Exam in European History consisted of multiple choice questions, an hour long essay, and a critique of documents to interpret, in which the students much achieve a grade of three or better in order to receive college credit. MORE THAN A COOKING COURSE A future housewife Table for three? Bon Appetit! At least one hundred students participated in the Home Economics program this year. The program itself is divided into many courses such as home economics, basic foods, advanced foods, and early childhood. Led by Mrs. McKivergan and Ms. Rathbun, the students studied many topics including basic cooking, textiles, clothing, human relations, and nutrition as well as meal preparation and cultural foods. The students were provided the environment to learn and practice the basic life skills and were evaluated through projects, tests, and performance in class.
