The school board, under the direction of Dr. Raymond Waier, worked with the difficult task of reorganizing the school district. The reorganization program involved many deci- sions including the advan- cement of freshmen from the junior high to the senior high level. Northgate Jr. High and eight elementary schools were closed and their boundaries changed. The staff and faculty of these nine schools were re-located. In the April school board elections, incumbent Charles Sackett was re- elected, and Robert Fletcher was elected as a new member. At the high school level the staff was under the leadership of Dr. Robert C. Howe. Ms. Baker arranged the Activity Periods while lVlr. Borgman helped students with enroll- ment and scheduling conflicts. Mr. Galbraith provided disci- pline and guidance for any straying Hornet. Payday par- ties were instituted for teachers on paydays which included doughnuts and re- freshments. All of the activities of the school were dependent upon the leadership of the school board and principals. 1. Dr. Raymond Waier, Superinten- dent. 2. Vicki Baker, Vice-Principal. 3.
