Three programs, not highly visible, played a vital role in the educational process at North- town this year. The COE department made it possible for students to enter into the working world early. The only stipulation was that those enrolled had to attend classes the Hrst three hours of the day. After these three classes, each participant reported to their respective jobs. PE at Northtown had a differ- ent twist. Not only was it co-ed, but it offered a wider variety of activities. In addition to more vigorous sports, bowling and archery were available. Students were allowed to wear whatever was tasteful and comfortable. Rule-breaking students were introduced to Mrs. Blackwell and INSAP, the acronym for ln-school Adjustment Program. The wayward pupils were guided through an ordinary day with their regular lessons. but they had to stay in the INSA P room for their assigned time, a period of either three or Hve da ys. ome Pay While Others Play
