CELEBRITIES VISIT N.K.C Many famous organizations and people visited North,Kansas City High School. During the Activity Period the Future Farmers of America enter- tained Hornets on November 10, 1976, with a vocal music concert, and on April 7, 1977, the Navy Rock Band Atlantis presented its program of pop rock. T.V. personalities were present also. During one of the many SlA's Tony DeHaro discussed TV newscast- ing, and Don Fortune and Bill Grigsby presented programs for Mrs. Daniels' Literature of Sports classes. 1. RACHEL SECURES HONORS Harvest Gold set the mood for this year's homecoming at North Kansas City High School. At the first event of the day, the Homecoming assembly, the candidates and their escorts were introduced to the student body who was to have the final say of which would be the new 1976 Homecoming queen. The candidates and their escorts were Miss Billie Kaye and Mr. Jody KaPP, Miss Kari Knick and Mr. Steve Pryor, Miss Rachel Poteet and Mr. Chuck Lashbrook, Miss Robin Revare and Mr. Buddy Adams, Miss April Spooner and Mr. Curt Kleoppel, Miss Nancy Turley and Mr. Lance Staves, and Miss Regina Weiss and Mr. Bret Durington. That night at the game against Lee's Summit during half-time, Miss Rachel Poteet was crowned the 1976 Homecoming queen by the 1975 queen, Miss Kathy Scantlin.
