DARK AWAITS AT TOP OF STAIRS On November 11 and 12, the 1976-1977 Drama Department presented the Junior Class Play, The Dark at the Top of the Stairs, as their first production of the year. Written by William Inge, the play was selected by director, Miss Mildred Fulton, because it is a good play, by a good mid-western author, and deals with problems of teen-agers and adults common to all of us. An Oklahoma family, the Floods, are the main characters. Rubin Flood, a salesman, is often on the road, leaving a wife and two children at home. Reenie Flood is a shy girl with only a few friends who finds it shocking when she hears that she could have saved a young man's life by lending him a sympathetic ear.
