Cha Students Live French, Spanish, And German With four levels of French and German, and five levels of Spanish, foreign language students explored the cultures and languages of people distant and unfamiliar to many at NKC. The courses involved more than just learning to speak the three languages. Rather, it was also a matter of learning to think and live French, German, or Spanish. Music Dept. Swings Into Action if J i af . E ' MQW , -, V, My I E s Donna Lou Pyper This year was one of action for the vocal music depart- ment. During the fall, the department participated in a candy sale to bring in needed funds. A music clinic at Park College and a pop concert were also among A Cappella events. In keeping with tradition, Christmas was busy for the choir as they sang at Cliff Manor Rest Home, the Compton Home, Nor- clay Elementary School, and the Municipal Auditorium. Carol- ing on the Plaza was one of the more enjoyable events. Al- though the department sang in the Suburban League concert, the true highlight of the year came when Mr. Jester Hairston brought his inexhaustable charisma to Northtown.
