He's the skipper, and i g definitely worthy of his post on the bridge, y A good skipper must handle his ship with skill and assurance, and he must know his crew. Mr. Fox's gift for management equips him to meet the first require- NL, ment. Every day brings a variety of vexations. Student and faculty problems, community relations, school policy-all these matters, demand their share of Mr. Fox's time. The needs and wishes of the crew must also be considered. Few real- 'Miff- life salt-water skippers give as much thought to this cispect of their iobs. i V It looks easy-iust sit behind a desk and give orders. Maybe it is-if you X really know the ropes. ,W ww, f, 4 Here at N.H.H.S. the student body ex- presses its will through the Student Council. Our council consists of the various student body officers, including the President Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and an as- sortment of commissioners. New members are elected each semester. This year both the Fall and Spring coun- cils worked vigorously to arrange a lively program of extra-cirricular activities. They cooked up several informal dances, not forgetting to put on the 1951 version of the traditional Sadie Hawkins romp. As usual, on this occasion, it was the boys who had to wait to be asked. Another big evenings credited to the Council: A friend- ship Dance lcomplete with Mr. Howdyl.
