The 1973-74 Frosh-Soph Wrestling Team proved quite successful as the team won the Bay League Title for the second time in the past three years. The grapplers fin- ished the season with an undefeated 6-0 dual meet rec- ord, and wound up in Second Place in the Bay League Tourney. Pat Bonovich, at 98 pounds, and Dave Sanders, at Heavyweight, were the Saxons only individual league champions. Mr. Quarry was the Head Coach with Mr. Speck and Mr. Schmitz as Assistant Coaches. This year's Junior Varsity team proved to be a strong team as the Saxons captured the Bay League crown. The Saxons started the season right with a team cham- pionship at the Torrance lunior Varsity Tourney. They then went on to a 7-1 record in dual meet competition, with their only loss coming from West. The Saxons finished the season winning the Bay League Tourna- ment. Some of the more con- sistent performers included: Pat Bonovich, Paul Saito, Bernie Schafer, Craig Wolfram, and Dale Sheckler. l.V.'s Are Champions Again!
