Coach Jim O ' Brien pulled things together and compiled an impres- sive record. This years Varsity team took first place in the West High Baseball Tournament by defeating El Segundo in the championship game w ith a score of 9 to 1. The team captain, Jim Zambarelli, led many outstanding individuals such as Tim Monaghan, Carlos Barbosa, Brandt Humphrey, Mike Cimarusti, and Ed Bowen to a winning season.
