Varsity Baseball Team Goes for C.I.F. Title The North High Varsity baseball team had another out- standing year. After having a slow start. Coach Jim O ' Brien pulled things together and compiled an impres- sive record. This years Varsity team took first place in the West High Baseball Tournament by defeating El Segundo in the championship game w ith a score of 9 to 1. The team captain, Jim Zambarelli, led many outstanding individuals such as Tim Monaghan, Carlos Barbosa, Brandt Humphrey, Mike Cimarusti, and Ed Bowen to a winning season. The Saxons powerful hitting and aggressive base run- ning proved to be a key factor in their success. Jini Zdfiitjjr ih stMb up ..1 k I uudi be ore ior the Saxons. (Wff .
