18th Year No. 2 uiAn Sports Section Under the guidance of Mr. Guy Old, the NORTH WIND continued on with its job of being THE newspaper on the NHS campus. Keeping up with the times and getting students interested enough to express their opinions were the first priorities. Thus, the paper devoted up to a whole page for editorials and features covered such controversies as school vandalism, election apthy, rock concert reviews, etc. Saxons were encouraged to express their reactions through Letters to the Editor. This year ' s editor, junior Rene Ter- razas, headed a staff which consisted of many newcomers to the room of journalism-328. Aside from the usual assignments and hectic deadlines, the staff also participated in several press days and field trips. Music Department Presents — Psychorial 1973 Paint Your 4 Wagon The stars of PAINT YOUR WAGON. This year ' s North High musical. Paint Your Wagon , was far different from those which had been presented in re- cent years. Rather than an original presentation, the music department chose to enact a famous Broadway musical. The musical is one instance during the year when several segments of the Fine Arts are joined. Leads for the play came from both the music and drama classes. The choir served as musical back-up, and general tryouts were held for dancers. The dancers were di- rected by Mrs. Hale, and the music by Mr. Walker. The play was in rehearsal for more than a month, thus assuring a highly successful and polished performance.
