The 73 ' Spirit Debbie DeFelice This year ' s 1972-73 Pep Squad proudly displayed their spirit and promoted enthusiasm and interest in all Sax- ons watching North High games. As with all cheerleaders, the main aim is to keep the spirit high — but this comes from hard work and continuous practice to perfect rou- tines. During the summer, they attended camp at La Jolla in San Diego, where they won Excellent, Outstanding, and Honorable Mention awards for their competition cheers. Our cheerleaders consisted of seven highly spirited girls led by Cheryl Ehrenstein. Our flag twirlers, led by senior Sherry Jordan, attended camp at Cal Poly and placed 2nd in competition. These 6 girls performed at NHS games and various parades. Sherry Jordan Holly Lum Julie Hueth 28
