Pep Club Promotes Saxon Pride Consisting of two majorettes, thirteen cheerleaders, flag twirlers, and song queens, the Pep Club worked hard to promote school spirit and represent North High at all places and times. Under the watchful eye of Mrs. Judy Byrd, these girls demonstrated skill and imagination in their various routines. Aside from per- forming at athletic and school events, they also held an ICC Carnival raffle, sponsored an ice cream social, and sold pep ribbons and buttons. Once again, with the help of Mr. Terry Tierney, the North High tennis team tried to unite it ' s members with the other Saxons who enjoy tennis. Saxon net- ters showed spirit as a team both on and off the courts. Their spirit was put to the test many times as several setbacks loomed large, but true to tradition the Saxons came through with flying colors. The Saxon net club participated m the ICC carnival as sponsors of the ever popular Sponge Toss.
