Vocal Groups Serenade Saxons Under the direction of Mr. Daniel Walker. North High ' s Vocal Groups perform to entertain and also to represent the school at various activities and functions. This year the choir, chorale, girls ' glee and mixed choruses took part in about 28 activities throughout the year. These included ladies ' clubs and elementary school PTA ' s. civic organizations, and a few competitions. Back at NHS. these talented Saxons worked hard to present the annual Christmas concert, a spring concert, and their own version of the musical Paint Your Wagon . Chorale: Hal Morrett. Rick Davis. Surfs Up! This was the first year of North High ' s Surf Club. The club really started out strong, with more than forty members, guys and girls. Mr. Brooks sponsored the club. Since the purpose of the club was to promote as well as enjoy the sport, many trips were planned. For instance, in April the club attended the annual South Bay High School Championships. The big trip of the year was going south to Cardiff. Another service privided by the club was a daily surf report. Earl Hon checked and posted the report each morning. Right in thecurl!
