This year the Saxon Varsity Baseball Team achieved two feats which had never been accomplished before by a North High baseball team. First, the '60 team brought home North's first baseball trophy, which was for second place in the Aviation-El Cam- ino Tournament. Second, by defeat- ing both Torrance High and South High, North is now recognized as Torrance City baseball champions. At the time this was written, the final Bay League results were still undecided. u .. l -1-1 Bill Shenkel shows that he can bat as well as play second base.
