For The i980 Season BSQUADg Kneeling, Bill Spreigl, Tom Lydon, Jim Zappa, Doug Buzay, Chris Flynn, Rob Gebhardt, Brian McKee, Standing, Scott Yorkovich, George Tatro, John Mazion, Cliff Skagen, Ken Stenger, Kevin O'Keefe, Mike Dulleo, Dave Williams, Kevin Fletcher, Coach Foster. -,Q .WWA The North Boys Basketball team progressed well through the season, The team consisted highly of underclassmen, with 2 Juniors and 1 Sophomore in the starting lineup. They started to come along during the Christmas tournament winning the first game and dropping the championship in the last seconds, During the tournament, Sophomore Keith Bey made his debut on varsity by scoring 17 points ..... Brad Jelen The North High Boys Varsity Basketball team was a team of vast improvement during the '79-'80 season. A team plagued with lnexperience and lack of skill equal to their opponents, the Polars put together a tough game plan each week composed of hustle, desire, and a great deal of pride for the school they represented. This constantly payed off with appreciative fans and a most enjoyable season for all ......, John Yorkovich The 197980, Boys Basketball team had the talent to win more games than they did, however, they were the losers on the scoreboard most of the time. They played with determination to win and by the end of the season they gained confidence from everyone ........ Tom Opatz We ladsed experience but we always hustled. If we could have had a couple of breaks along the way we could have had a much better season. We improved a lot as the season progressed ...... Tony Mundt The Boys Basketball team didn't start the season out very good. But as the season went on, we started to show a lot of improvement. We won some games and really worked hard. We have a few young players this year and hope to do well in the years ahead. I think we had a lot of enthusiasm and I wish we could have done a little better ........
