They won more games than any other former W Vw North team. They were the First team to represent the school in a post-season game. The three most interesting games of the year were probably with West, Cohn, and Manchester. In all three the Yank forewall displayed a defense that could not be penetrated. The backfield, led by half- hacks, Tommy Partain and Dozier Haynie, and fullback, William Schroeder, proved a running combination that could not be stopped. Members of the team won numerous honors. Twelve diflerent men were selected on the All-Weekly teams. Three men were selected on All-City teams: Schroeder by the Tennerfean, Partain by the Banner, and Pilkinton by the Good Neuzr lifeekb. This team led the A.A. Division of the Nashville Interscholastic League in both offense and defense.
