North High School presented Rebel Without a Cause as the first theatrical production of the 1968-1969 season. The play centers around two teenagers, Jim Stark and Judy Brown, and their search for a new set of values and real meaning in life. Both become involved in complicated situa- tions, and must face alone the difficult task of deciding what is right and what is practical. There is great emotional tension throughout, giving the play extra impact on the audience. Under the direction of Mr. Faist, the play was presented on three separate platforms. Lighting was used to give the ap- pearance of three different settings. IQ ,N I Mr. Faist transforms Paul Clinton into a middle-aged father.

Beau Announced at Winte On January 18, North High School's cafeteria was transformed into a Winter Wonderland for North's fourteenth annual Belle and Beau Dance. The cafeteria had been attractively decorated by the Social and Recreational Council with trees, fences, and snow- flakes. Music was provided by the Soires. Rich Fout, emcee of the dance, introduced Denny Caldwell, Curt Moody, Dave Pen- zone, Mike Siegle, and Randy Ward as the 1969 Beau Court. This year's homecoming queen, Sally Story, announced the 1969 Beau, Dave Penzone. The entire court was then serenaded by the Girls' Ensemble. The Belle and Beau Dance provided an en- ioyable evening for all those who attended. Beau candidates casually shuffle down the front steps. Sally Story Penzone.
