You mean we have to make 500 more of these? I thought we were through. This comment was desperately made while the A.W.S. was preparing for Blossom Day. 1 This year the Associated Women Students became an important factor in our campus life. The girls' president, Connie Town- send, expertly guided many ac- tivities during the year. Special- izing in welfare work, the AWS sponsored Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets for the needy, this activity turned out to be suc- cessful beyond the group's high- est hopes. Also, the AWS pro- vided a spaghetti feed for fresh- man girls during the second week of school as a form of getting the freshmen better ac- quainted. This also is a portion of the Big Sister program of the AWS. J. W. 9. any Mrs. Rose Zakarian Co Advisor Miss Wanda Anderson Co Advisor

The Associated Men Students, repre- senting the largest single body on campus, again successfully served as the link between the individual male student and the executive board. ln this way the ideas and opinions of the entire student body are repre- sented. One of the tasks well- executed by the A.M.S. this year was the successful operation of all cam- pus elections. This group sponsored several activities that led to a more unified student body at North High.
