The Megaphone Club is open to any student interested in attending all athletic events. Megaphone Club is striving to achieve better school spirit. The club sold rooters beanies, shalceroos, bought the paint to decorate the cars going to Garces. decorated the stands tor home games, sponsored buses tor out ot town games, decorated goal posts and also helped with the rallies loetore games. The cheer leaders and song leaders belong to this active organiza- tion. The advisors are Miss Marlene Sweeney and Mr. Bob Newbrough. The auto club is an organization tor those boys who have cars and are interested in promoting good sports- manship on the road. Mr. Francis and Mr. Grainger direct this club in its activities and meetings. Their big project was the reliability run which was won by David Dahl. They also sponsored an excellent assembly on satety, and an assembly showing new cars. They also mounted the victory bell and presented it to the North High student body. 52 Auto Club The art club is tor students who have talcen a year or more ot art and are interested in drawing. Mr. Maclc rnalres their club an excellent advisor as he is also the art teacher. Many ot the posters advertising Corning events have been the worlc ot the Paletteers. To encourage creativeness many tield trips tor the purpose ot sketching and drawing have been made by the club.
