We see in the development of you students characteristics sym- bolic of the growth of the beautiful pines found on our campus. In camparing our school life with the pines, we truly hope that as the pine tree bears fruit so will our students, for "thetree is known by its fruit" fMatthew 121331. As pines are useful as well as ornamental, we nope our lives will be the same. We have symbolized our freshmen as transplanted seed- lings, our sophomores as having added one ring of growth, our juniors as nearing maturity, and our seniors as mature pines - lofty and majestic in thought as well as in stature. The sections concerning athletics, features, and activities we have considered symbolic of sunlight, water, and fertile soil - factors essential and conducive to growth. , ,,.,.--- '-,v i :r ry., gifs, 3. A truly great man -- no detail is too small to be worthy of his attention, be it concerned with building the minds of the students or building their characters through counseling. He is the epitome of all We consider worthwhile in a person truly dedicated to his profession. To know him is to honor him -- and to remember him when school days are long gone.
