-. 1 The S. O. S. Skating Party SKATING party was given at the Ice Palace from IO to I2 p. m., December 28, by the 5. O. S. Club. The club, consisting of lNf1ary Katherine Boone, Elizabeth Gough, Nlartha Van Zandt, ldfsther Norris, Lucy Virginia Treadwell, Nlary YValton, Nlary Bruss, were hostesses to over three hundred guests. The .411-City tpzzlvliczzlions 'Difemfr-5Dafzcfr N the evening of February IO, the members of all the publication stalls of each of the live Dallas high schools and Highland Park High School met jointly at a dinner-dance in the Junior Ballroom of the Jefferson Hotel. A Very representative crowd was present, which Was entertained in an exceptionally pleasant manner. The program consisted of six numbers, one number being rendered by a representative from each of the six schools. This dinner was planned for the purpose of creating a friendship among the members of the dilferent staffs. Its success was so phenominal that it was definitely decided to make the meeting an annual alfair.

Jcrtizvities of El Circulo 5510421201 L Circulo Espanol, the Spanish Club of North Dallas High School, had on its programs during the past year many Spanish people, among Whom may be mentioned Senor Garcia, of the University of Dallas, Senor Guerrn, pastor of the Nlexican Nlethodist Church, and Senor Rodriguez, of the Mexican Presbyterian Church. The club has also had the opportunity of hearing the Tipica Orchestra, composed entirely of Nlexicans. The purpose of the Spanish Club is to increase the students' interest in Spanish as well as to offer a diversion from the regular class Work. El Circulo Espanol has given marshmallow roasts, theater parties, dances, and fiestas, all held in a genuine Spanish atmosphere. Several times the members were the guests of other schools at suppers. The biggest sup- per of this kind was given by Sunset High School at La Hora Azul . On several occasions tamale feasts have been partaken of. By far the most in- teresting of these was the one held at Bachman's Dam. The entertainment on this occasion Was furnished by N111 Tardy's tamale-eating dog, named Toots. On April the seventh the students of the TVB and IVA classes in Span- ish of all the high schools had in Little Mexico a banquet at El Fenix Cafe. This entertainment was by far the most elaborate held during the year. cqflffzrzt ext? tpicnic N April I the YVhat Nextfl' girls came to school clad in gingham dresses and hair ribbons, symbolizing the idea of foolishness. One will have to admit it Was an unusual sight to see the girls once more adorned in gingham dresses. After school the girls had a picnic at Bachman's Lake. And as usual a good time was had by all.
