New Rockford. 1 am very pleased at this opportunity of greeting the student body at the North Dakota State School of Science through the pages of the 1964 Agawasie. Science will become ever more important in the world of tomorrow, and the scientist and technician will play a vital role in determining the shape of the future. I believe North Dakota, with the vast natural resources that lie at our disposal, faces a future that will be both challenging and rewarding. You who have the advantage of a priceless education at an excellent school will l c needed by your state and your nation as we move into the stimulating months and years ahead. I hope that many, if not most, of you will find your futures here in North Dakota. I extend to each of you my congratulations for the accomplishments you have already achieved and my l est wishes for further success and happiness in years ahead.

Student Cabinet The Student Cabinet, the governing body for student affairs at SSS, meets regularly in the Wildcat Hoorn of the Student Center at 5:00 p.m. Tuesdays. The purpose of the organization is to further the cause of a unified student body, to promote school spirit, and to stimulate worthwhile campus activity and growth. One of the main events of the year, handled by the Student Cabinet, is Homecoming. Other activities arc the Halloween, Thanksgiving, and March of Dimes lanccs--Qucen election, the Mardi Gras and the Spring Formal. The Cabinet is made up of representatives from each of the three divisions of the school. Representing the Trade-Technical Division are: Ronald Fcickcrt, President; Ralph Feglcy, Campus Social Chairman and Loren Pekas. Representing the Junior College arc Daniel Kirchoffner, Vice President; Anita Thurmer, Treasurer and girl representative and Leo Grossman. Representing the Business School arc Vincent McLaren, Secretary and Ronald Buckhousc. The faculty advisors are Vernon Hektner, Miss Mercedes Morris and Donald Rosley.
