Therefore, I choose only two outstanding' factors: (I) a strong sense of responsibility on the part of students, not merely within this year, but extending through several decades; (2) strong loyal.tr toward the school on the part of the students and alumni. Speaking to junior college students in particular I want to mention just one way in which the principle of loyalty works well. As. in these times, most of our junior college graduates transfer to other schools, we are continually pleased to timl that their records alter transfer reflect credit on the Science School. That’s a thought worth carrying with you: In later schooling and in later life, you are makers and keepers not only of vour own reputation but also of your old school.
