As the problems which they must solve will never be free of eco- nomic, social and cultural implications, so must their education combine the humanities and social sciences with their technical studies. We feel we are training leaders for great responsibilities. Success and a satisfactory personal philosophy require the humanities and social sciences, yet still more urgently does the welfare of our society demand citizens who are alert, aware, able to communicate.
