The Graduate School at State College is a part of the Graduate School of the Consolidated University. To us has been delegated the responsibility for all graduate instruction in the fields of Agriculture, Agricultural and Industrial Education, Engineering, and Textiles. Graduate programs leading to the doctorate degree are now offered at State College in Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Animal Industry, Botany, Electrical, Ceramic, and Chemical Engineering, Ento- mology, and Experimental Statistics. Industry ' s ever-growing demand for well-trained young men and women in the field of Textiles has placed the graduates of this school at a very high premium. The graduates of today are well on their way to positions of leadership. They follow the footsteps of the very many graduates who now serve the industry in various responsible executive capacities. SCHOOL OF EDUCflTIOn The School of Education provides the professional pre-employment train- ing required for certificating teachers of Vocational Agriculture, Industrial Arts, Industrial Education, Mathematics, and Science. The curriculum in each of these departments includes courses designed to aid prospective teachers in acquiring an understanding of high school pupils, and in selecting and using acceptable teaching methods. The School of Education also pro- vides undergraduate training for recreation leaders in industrial and rural areas. Teachers of Vocational Agriculture, Industrial Arts, Industrial Education, counselors and industrial psychologists may attain professional improvement through the programs of graduate study. J.
