This year's starting five was com- posed of all seniors. lt racked up twelve wins as against six losses during the regular season, surpassing by far any previous performances. The squad was led by Ed Della Fera who, in breaking three school records, was chosen as a member of the All-State team. His l4O field goals and 29 fouls gave him 309 points, his 29 points against Bergentield established a new individual game mark, and his l7.2 average gave him the highest average in N. A. basketball annals. Jack Clark, who held these records previously, ended this season's scoring with 247 points. His accurate variety of shots made him the most feared Viking courtster. The biggest improvement was noticed in the play of Marvin Novick. Not only did Big Les rack up 235 points, but his aggressiveness under the boards and his setting up of the plays were an asset to the fast breaking Narls. Last, but not least, were the Wysocki twins, Walt and Tom, at the guards. lt can be easily said that these two were the greatest pair of rebound boys in the school's history. Their point totals were not high, but without their brawny frames the squad could never have gotten along. May this past successful season be an incentive to greater efforts towards bringing a state championship title to North Arlington. in AART DEL..Fs FIPA VVAlTlR NNYbOCKl - Ntlllltl "' wzr,rxl3T0l N1 k YK' A Bfaflq lcrrnafl c, unley R' Bmw wr Quarles D BMC a Back Rev' L lllw A Uawlolcl C ColmenerO W' Pull N A f rl wrseo r r Boom M f',ranlJC'9 , qgtcAOr B laloner Fourth ROW D.
