E HAVE completed twelve years of formal education and it is now that we shall put it to use. Among the many remembered and forgotten facts gleaned from books, the will to serve is dominant in our minds. This spirit of service has been inculcated through many forms of class work and extra-curricular activities, often exposing us to certain responsibilities and exacting tasks. We have complet- ed the first great task of our life, namely that of receiv- ing a secondary education and it is now that we shall harvest the fruits of our labors. lt is with confidence and eagerness therefore, that we offer our services to society, realizing that we are commencing a new life. We also realize that our numbers shall not always be received with open arms and that fierce competi- tion will ensue. But we, the Class of '36, believe we have what it takes to attain our goals and make this a better land for our having lived in it. ROBERT K. MAYFIELD. Our chief aim has been to be the most outstand- ing class of recent years, and we believe that to some extent we have reached our goal.
