Potter. ln carrying out his duties he was very alrlv assisted lay Assistant l,l'illt'iPill Walter C. Bergmann and Guidance Director Morris Blitz. To handle his duties, Mr. Potter had to call on every resource availahle. He needed the cooperation of the faculty. students and coin- Illllllily. Whenever he asked for support for his policies. they promptly gave it. S ecial duties of Mr. Berffinann included: P r scheduling classes, providing necessary disci- pline, interviewing parents and students. and assisting tht- principal to administer the school. As Director of Guidance. Mr. Blitz had the special duty of supervising a corps of coun- selors. With them he had to alan all coun- I Sfflillff services for the hivh school. P F Vvorking constantly for the betterment of Normandy. these administrators sct certain goals for the school. The list included: the supervision of Curricular and Co-Curricular Activities, the provision for opportunities to develop a widening range of cultural. civic and recreational interests. and the guidance of pupils in discovering their special interests. aptitudes and abilities.
