The Administrators Great praise is clue to our three administrators, Mr R D Shouse, Mr H L Green, and Mrs Wirtitred Balm For several years they haye been working together, successfully guiding Nor- mandy' students in the right cllrection and making our school a more prosperous one Mr Shouse has been principal at the school since its organization thirteen years ago He has seen the student enrollment grow from l78 to 2,000 He has witnessed a tive-hundred per cent increase in teachers, and has watched the school grow from the main building to the modern tour-building campus, and he has witnessed the work on our beautiful new Nature Trail A graduate ot the University ot Missouriy Mr. Shouse received a B S. degree in education, and an M. A, degree from the Teachers' College at Columbia University New York. Mr. Green, assistant principal at Normandy came here twelve years ago as athletic coach He was tormerly the Athletic Director at Westminster College in Fulton Missouri and principal at the Clayton and Centre High Schools His seryices proved so valuable that he was made assistant principal He also teaches several classes Mrs Balm administrator ot the Junior School came to Normandy eleven years ago and her teaching ability wow her the position ot administrator She is a capable rrathematics social science and English teacher and was graduated from the Uniyersity ot Chicago with a Ph B degree is li, I-fin 1 1 1 ' - 1 ' 1 l . . The Board of Education N h Back of our school system stand the members of our Board of Education l they who durect the pollcles of the school and through the Supenntendent see that they are carried out They have had a hard task to carry on under the adverse condltuons of the past few years l-lowever being a group of men with great vlsuon and forethought they have gulded the schools along an even course The continual growth of the Normandy Dlstnct necessutates careful planning on the part of our Board Ever alert to opportunutues of provudnng better school faculltues for the boys and gurls of Normandy the Board decuded to ask the cltuzens to authorize a bond lssde thus sprung for 5518500000 artd to apply for a government PW A grant of approximately Sl5l O00 OO Thus IS the maxlmum amount the Board can obtain under our present assessment The voters express d their confidence an the Board by passing the bond lssue wnth an overwhelming majority The building program Includes work to be done at all the elementary schools There wull he a new school In Pasadena l-lnlls four room additions at Bel Nor and Washungton School new fare proof units at Garfueld and McKinley and umprove ments at the other schools Should the government and be dented the Board plans to proceed with the Pasadena and Bel Nor projects as they present the greatest needs We want to express our anprecuatuon to the Board for the splendid way In whuch they have carried our schools through these hard years We have a splendid school system and we realuze that thus us largely due to the unturnng efforts of our Board of Educatuon and our Supenntendent Pgfl C . lillcr Licsz- Kruse Bushman Prou.l Ro! rtnln-rg Sk lly ' . t is l .
