Brown The Student l'ouncil is the governing body of the high school students, and it is to this body, sponsored by lllrs. li. Thoelke, that the many problems of school lite arc llI'Ol1Q'llf for solution. W A variety of new and puzzling problems was brought to the Council this yea1'. all of which were solved most successfully. One of thc out- standing needs of the school this year was the necessity for bleachers on the athletic iield. When informed of this, the Student Council at once provided the necessary bleachers, They secured money for these by giving: three dances which were very successful. X ' A new plan ot' electing members to the Council was devised this year. 5 I9 t'a'ndidates were selected by the Vouncil and then submitted to the s faculty to vote upon instead oi' allowing' the students to select and vote upon their own ehoiee as was formerly done.
