Bonita Woosley Dale Barclay Bill Henderson Stanley Systo Honor Society 2 F A Athletci Club 1 craft Club 1 Radio Club 1 Peck S Bad Boy Gun ub W Photos by Um ed Photo Seam 06:44 Jutafuf In Nineteen Thirty six the spring of our high school education one hundred little buds popped out on the branches of N C H S After we had gotten into the swing of things we elected officers as follows B Irvin president L Scheets vlce president Cliff Keith sec retary treasurer At this early period we tried our social ability with a St Patrick s Party Our athletes were priming themselves for Varsity service to follow in a year or so M Scott watched over and cherlshed us this first season Nineteen Thirty seven found one hundred full blown but slightly green of leaf buds en tering the second season of their education with L Scheets president Cliff Keith vice presi dent Adolf Schnabel in the role of secretary treasurer Remember the free gum and C1 gars for all platform? That was Mr McConkey the sponsor s bright idea It was at this time that most of us learned to dance We had a little trouble dancing at the Homecoming Dance but sure had fun at the Christmas Party we sponsored Thirty eight found some of the leax es missing from the grand Old Tree However the remaining ninety six leaves which by this time had turned a yellowish brown went to work to earn money to fill the treasury for activities to follow We elected Roy Will president Doris Corrmgton vice president, Wayne Slegworth, secretary treasurer We concentrated our efforts on the Prom and Banquet. The Banquet was a great success, food and fun was had by all. The Prom? Ah! The Prom! That divine thing Freshman girls dream about, Hank Messer, played. We danced and had a keen time. Remember who you took? Then there was the Junior play, The Eyes of Tlaloc. Spooky wasn't it? In the fall of our high school careers, the trying winds of work carried some of us off The Tree. The remaining ninety-one leaves elected officers as follows: Roy Will, president, Margaret Remschner, vice president, Esther Lawson, secretary treasurer Where we were not active socially, our athletes were going full blast. We have been mellowed by previous seasons of education, we are now leaves of various colors, reds and browns. Soon we will drop off the Old Tree to be scattered to the four winds. Some in pursuit of further knowl edge, others in various occupations. Aye, with new quality imbued, the vast World seems but .... voracious change. Luis de Camoens.
