Class History On September 1, 1956 nine little green freshmen entered the doors of Norcatur High School They were as follows Howard Benton, Rodney Stapp, Phyllis Roe, Nancy PI'1CS, Janice Pelke Kay Anderson, Lois Jackson, Karolyn Wentz and Larry Lyon These nlne freshmen SUI V'1VBd Lnltiation, although lt was a trylng struggle Our officers were Howard Benton, President Rodney Stapp, Vlce President, Phyllis Roe, Secretary 'Treasurer Nancy Prlce, Reporter Our sponsor was Dale Kelley Our sophomore year the sane number of puplls entered the doors of NT H S Nancy Price left us and went to Colorado and Gary Anthony joined us from Oberlln We had our share of troubles Our offlcers were Larry Lyon, Presldent, Lo1s Jackson, 'uce Pres1dent, Janlce Pelkey, Secretary Treasurer Our class was sponsored by I ary Hardmg Our junlor year there were three of our class mates msslng Phylhs Roe and Lois Jackson decided to try the trials of mat rimony Howard Benton left us to vo to Oberlin to school Our officers were Yay Anderson, President, Rodney Stapp, Vice President, Janlce Pelkey, Secretary Treasurer On December ll 1957 we gave our Junior Play Ghost Phaser We had a lot of fun preparing for the play and lt proved to be a success On started planning for the Junlor Sem or Banquet, which was held 'lay 2, 1958 The theme was Evening in P3l'1S ' Our sponsor was Arlnetta Bolton On September 1, 1958 five dignlfled senlors entered the doors of N H S They were Gary Anthony, Larry Lyon, Janice Pelkey, Rodney Stapp, a.nd Richard Hillebrand who jolned us from clayton The offlcers were Rodney Stapp, President, Richard Hillebrand, V1ce Presldent, Janice Pelkey, Secretary Treasurer Larry Lyon, Reporter There were two of our former class mates nlsslng :Cay Anderson and Karolyn Wentz decided to try the trlals of matrlmony also On April 211, 1959 our Senior Play The Phantom Bells went over as a bl hit We didn't have much tlme to prepare for lt but we engoyed every minute of it At this time the seniors are 100k1Ilg forward to the Junlor Senlor Banquet which is planned for Nay 1, 1959 Commencement will be held Nay 20, for flve happy seniors The f1ve senlors and their sponsor Arinetta Bolton plan to leave May 23, 1959 on their senior trlp for the Lake of the Ozarks and w1l1 stay there for one wonderful week and will return home May 31 They plan to meet at N H S 111 1969 to learn what the fates have delt to 1.nd1v1dua1s qulcl ly cast from the classrooms :Lnto the world of adults .
