CLASS HISTORY August 31, 1953, eleven green Freshmen entered the doors of Norcatur High School The officers were President Barbara Vernon, V1ce President Ralph LaSalle, Secretary Treasurer Wanda Reid We kept everybody on the go, going to town during noon hour in cars, when we were not supposed to having to go to detent1on class at noons, squirtlng the water hose, playing catch with our bread dough in Home Ee and other little 1nc1dents s1milar to these Our class sponsor was Evan West Still not know1ng all of the answers we came back August 30, l95h wanting to learn more We had gained Corwin Lee Jackson, balancine our class with s1x boys and S1X glrls Class officers were Presideni John New, V1ce President Ralph LaSalle, Secretary Treasurer-Corw1n Jackson we sponsored the St Valentine's Day All School Dance Our class spnnsor was Mrs Edna Sparl1n Still not hav1ng acqulred enough education we care back September 5 1955 We lost two from our class Joyce Hoppes went to Sldney, Nebraska and Corwin Jackson Joined the Navy Class officers were Pres1dent Manda Barbara Vernon On December 9 1955 we gave our class play 'Have A Heartu am Haynes dlrected the play We sponsored the Chrlstmas Dance 1U December We sponsored the Junlor A Senlor Banquet HCandylandW 1n Apr1l Our sponsor was M153 Lyllian Brychta September 3, 1956 ten Senlors came back to try to fulflll the last of thelr high school education The Class off1cers were President H alph LaSalle, Vlce President Larry H1x, Secretary Beverly Alexander, Treasurer Barbara Vernon Our class play, Nowhere Fast , was presented Aprll 26, 1957 Mr D T Kelley was our class sponsor On our Sen1or Trip, we went to Ch1C3PO May 23 and cane back May 29 9 . ! . .
