O CALENDAR of 1944-45 September 5-School begins- Farewell to summer, oh, happy time! 26-Bishop's Pets-doggie show. October 12-Song and yell leaders elected-Now we'll get somewhere! 18-Freshman program-What corn! 20-Variety show-Very good considering- 27-Girls' Club all school party-Great sport, huh? ' November 1-Flash Gordon serial starts. Oh, wonderful hero he is, and my pulse is 120! 23-24-Thanksgiving vacation, oh, frabjous day. December 1-Senior play-Gooey-flour and water-John- ny and Marion. 15-Jamboree at Lynden-We played Bellingham -Need we give the score? 20-Girls' Club Christmas party and program. 21-Christmas concert-huge success. 22-Big wind-no light-no heat. Crazy school- crazy classes-more fun. Also Christmas va- cation-Oh happiest of happy days. January 2-Back to school-oh, sadness. 5-Basketball at Blaine-Oh, happy victors We! 12-Basketball with Meridian here. We won again. Pep Club initiates-Oh, the awful blood! First marching drill. Listen to the whistles. 19-Basketball at Baker-Yippee! We beat them. Shumway, Pence and Lambert led yells at Pep Rally-Cute! 26-Baslsetball with Ferndale here. Well, they trie . 27-Basketball at Lynden. We beat the Dutchmen. 31-Senior party-great sport, we hear- May 2- 18- 24- February 2-Basketball with Blaine-We won! Ushers initiated-It was rather brutal. 9-Basketball at Meridian. We'd have won if we had,n't given them that extra point. 10-Basketball.with Mt. Baker-We made up for last 'night's game. 14-Valentinefs Day-Oh, mush, mush! Journal- ism class sponsored Cupid Messenger Ser- vice-All secret loves are revealed now. 16-Basketball' with Lynden here-We beat 'em, and now the-y're mad! March -Music Festival at Bellingham-a few lucky ones got to go. -Junior program-You didn't expect anything good, did you? -Senior program-Rhythm was the theme and it was really rhythmic! -Easter vacation-joyful joyful! Also Pep Club ganquet-Big event for anyone who at- tende -Dance followed, Swing band is in the groove. April 3-National Assembly-Duke Montague, magi- cian-Pretty good. 4-Girls!
