The Pep and Service Club, more commonly called the Pick and Shovel Club, was organized four years aqo for the purpose of boosting our school. This year the organization has sponsored several dances and rallies and performed their yearly duty ot painting the N at the north end of the football field. Under the direction oi Miss Katherine Dayton, a minstrel show, entitled Happy Hollow, was presented the latter part ot this sprinq. The cast was as follows: Ashcan, G. Zenizog lunebuq, H. Each division has a chairman and one of the divisions meets each week. This club is member No. l in Arizona of the National Science Clubs of America. For two years of outstanding service a member receives a pin, and for the third year they receive a guard.

In order to maintain school spirit among the students, the Booster Club was organized in 1923 under the sponsorship of Miss Ethel Brown. Besides boosting at all school games, it is responsible for the annual banquet held in honor of all football players whose qualifications are as follows: players must have perfect attendance except when injured, they must be good clean Sports, and must have at least a season's training. This year the annual banquet was held at the Manhattan Cafe, December 3. ' Among the activities sponsored by the Boosters this year were: Homecoming Dance, Pot Luck Supper and Skating Party, and the P. 61 S.
