A hill is not too hard to climb
Taken one step at a time
Ons step is not too much to take,
One try is not too much to make
One step, one try, one song one smile
Will shortly stretch into e mile
And everything Iorthihile was done
By small steps taken one by one
To reach the goal you started for,

Ie, the Junlor Class of '59, find ourselves living on the
moon in the year of 1999 We had heard that the class of '
our rivals at Nodaway High were still living on Earth so we de
clded to tool down and see if we could find any of them W
We had a little difficulty in blasting off since both Bob Hall
and Billy Best wanted to be at the controls The problem was
finally settled though, by letting Carolyn Wirth serve as P110t
Everyone on ship we are finally on our way, No more than
started, we passed by our neighboring surburb of Mars All of
us had heard rumors that this planet was DODUIBVSG only by
women so we landed to find out Sure enough, there wasn't a
man in sight But wait, who 1s that coming toward us? Why
1t's our old friend Richard Williams Talking to Richard we
find out that he has been given the title of The Most Popular
Man of the rear and now nas four wives We weren't too sur
priseu oecause we know ne was always a homeo
Our first stop on the mainland of Earth was Sth Avenue of
New York As we were trooplng down the street looking at signs
and windows we come to a sign that said 'Walter's lall Men'
Clothing ' lhy, that must be Carolyn Upon investigation we
flnd that Carolyn is the owner of all the clothing stores in
the U S for men over 6 foot Here comes one of her employees
'taller romances at N H S
Journeylng next to South Bushville we find Lyle Boham has
kept himself buried in his work This is very dangerous for he
has chosen undertaking as his profession This was far from his
thoughts when he started the Bo Death Dodgers back in 1958
After blasting off, someone suggested we go past Nodaway
to see if any of the Seniors were around At the southern out
skirt of town a block long office building catches our attention
It is located at a busy intersection called the Four Corners and
there we find Lowell Knudson By reading a large sign on the
building, we find out that he is a counselor on teenage pnoblels
We remembered that back in N H S
Fighting our way through the long
line of bobby soxers we find
is a bachelor and the
down on the northern suberbs
of Nodaway Upon landing, we lee another sign reading, 'Huskle
Alaska And there running beside him is his wife, the former
Mary Baldwin John tells us he is getting her in shape for the
National Olympics to be held in an neighboring metropolis of
Bricks Mary is entered in the High Hurdles and the two mile
onward North, we look
John Waage, Broprietor ' Yes Sir, there's John How
take off speed on his latest Huskie imported from
Returning to our space ship, we set the course for the
healthful climate of the Himalayas As we arrive we are as
tounded to see Janet Bartz as the Wife of a goat farmer We
hear that Janet is having a pretty rough time keeping her
husband away from all the hillbilly beauties while she is busy
taking care of all the kids Cgoats of course!
Upon leaving the Mountains, we find ourselves heading south
he had had plenty of experience
idol of millions of teenagersl
ward toward Antaratlca There in the settlement of Little America
the Juniors lee one of the more lively Seniors, Jim Williams
Jil always liked to have fum but lt seems that now he has settled
down to the serious task of earning a living and is making bikini
bathing suits Although there 1sn't much demand for his product
in this region, J1m's not discouraged In fact, he seemed very
. -A ll s
His fac9'1o0xs vaguely familiar, must have been one of her 1 D
happy, but why shouldn't he with all those beautiful models aroundd
Next stop finds us in Hollywood, the beauty capital of the work!
While there we decided to set in on one of the stage shows Who
should be the leader of the chorus line but Theresa Scanlan After
the show we went backstage to see her but couldn't get through
the line at her door Even though she has been married 7 tiles
Theresa still has thousands of male admlrens Seems as though she
still hasn't made up her mind who her one and only' will be"
Last stop on our tour is Paris, France, where we see nous other
than Haxine Wiley modeling the most un to date styles in bathing
the briefest of play suits As we are running far behind schedule
we take leave of Haxlne and start our travel homeward Passing
over deer old N H S we take one last farewell glance at the
schoolhouse, where we first made acquaintance with the ten Seniors
of nineteen hundred fifty eight
suits. She refuses to model anything else, unless of course it is
