On New Years Eve I took the Watch: Twenty-three Forty-Five. And moored port side in Marseille, France, my messenger arrives. We talk about the times we had, and how the Cruise goes by. And where we go from Marseille, France, a tear runs from my eye. For now I know its almost over, and soon we're on our way to where we have our true loved ones in the good old US of A. With Yoke set here throughout the Ship, its very plain to see that New Years Eve is not so bad for men like you and me. Its on a pier berth one two two, where everything a craft of nothing much but stone and dirt, and stormlines forward and aft Another thing about old France is power from the pier, cause all the Snipes down in the Pit could finally smell fresh air. The Captain here is SOPA too, its very plain to see. X For all the French in Marseille, France know AE-23. With standard moorings doubled, and time to get relieved, . . 7.- I say good night to all my friends, and HAPPY NEW YEQRS EVE. . So while you're out still having fun, please have a drink on rne. Remember when I stood this watch aboard the Twenty-Three . . . , , M... .,.. ,lamb-, Qs
