bor the last four years the halls of N H S have re sounde ith the gleeful cries and serious conversations of the graduating class of 1951 Of our class Donald Schmldt is the only one who started in Nisland in the first grade Next, Edna Weimar started here in the second grade in 1941 Bernice Homan JO1D8d ln the third and Lois Ann bhevling during the fourth grade year Harlan Cooper came in the 7th grade and left, but returned again as a Sophomore Freshman initiation was taken cheerfully by these eager students and was given Just as heartily by enthuslastlc upper classden The theme was Iunny paper cha aC ers the Dick Tracy column the romance betwe n Gravel Gertie and about this time, BO Q9 had a mock ygddlng with Dorothy Foos as Gravel Gertie and leddy Speidel as D O Plenty Dres ed as Ma ie and Jiggs were Berrice ioman and Donald Schmidt, and Lois Shevling ard lony Aberle represented Blondie and Dagwood Kitty Higgens and Denny Dimwit were portrayed by Edna Weimar and Joey Aberle Faye Bantz acted Fluffy and 590129 171011185 alias Dick Tracy performed the we ding ceremony Through out the entire day consequences were given and accepted sportingly After we felt we were as much a part of the school During our Sophomore year we gained one classmates that is Harlan Joined us ti a and Dorothy quit while George and Tony Junior class As Juniors we presented e junior class Out of Hara', and sponsored the Homecoming that trying day as anyone but lost three again at this advanced to the play, 'Let M Dance and the banquet and prom Teddy Speidel left ug and started school in Sundance in his Junior year The fall of 1950 rolled around and the remaining six were enrolled in school as 'dignified' seniors The 7 th Faye Bentz, attended Rook Mount collage in Denver durmng her senior year The first task that we f808G was to choose our class colors, flower, and motto we chose green and whlte, apple blossoms, and 'Set a Stout Heart to a Steep nlllside' Our second and greatest problem of the year was how to make money for skip day and where to spend it The Winter Formal was sponsored by us, February 5 We spent our Senior Skip Day in Pierre Graduation diplomas were received at C elses held may ll, 1950, at 8 OO ommencement Exer Colors Green and White 'i Flower Apple Blossoms Q 0 5 Motto at a stout heart to a . new 1111151415 Sim! fMTa'-J fi, M s s 4,,- 'K !, n+ ph A u , , Lia, I .
